This manual explains how members request instructor time through availability blocks.
1. What Instructor Availability Is
Instructors can publish availability blocks on the calendar.
Members can request a time slot within those blocks instead of booking directly against an instructor's schedule.
2. Member Workflow
- Open
Calendar. - Turn on
Show Availability(if available in your organization). - Open an instructor availability event.
- Click
Request Time Slot. - Select requested start/end inside the availability window.
- Add a clear purpose.
- Submit the request.
3. Instructor Workflow
- Receive an availability request notification.
- Review requested time and purpose.
- Accept or decline the request.
- Provide reason when declining.
4. After Response
- Accepted requests continue into normal scheduling flow.
- Declined requests notify the member so they can request a different time.
- Pending requests can be edited or canceled as needed.
5. Best Practices
- Members: include clear training goals in request purpose.
- Instructors: respond quickly to keep scheduling moving.
- Use realistic block durations and avoid overbooking.
